| H3D Dock Rules |
Rules of the H3D DockDogs must be over 4 months of age and fully vaccinated. No e-collars are allowed on the dock. Remove them before entering. Dogs may not jump in any type of corrective or training collars. These include but are not limited to prong collars, choke chains, head halters, and no-pull harnesses. All of these collars/harnesses have the potential to become caught on something while the dog is jumping or swimming. The only equipment a dog may wear is a standard collar and/or harness that will not tighten around the dog if it becomes caught on something. Absolutely no pushing, shoving, or forcing your dog into the water. This includes any physical action by the handler that is not meant to be positive. Only 1 dog per dock may be off leash. If multiple dogs and handlers are sharing a dock, dogs must be leashed until it is their turn to jump. All humans must wear life jackets while on the dock.
Common Courtesies in dock jumpingBe leash attentive. While on the dock if a handler does not see you, please verbally warn them that you are about to pass. Dry dogs jump before wet ones. That is, if you've already had a turn with your dog, and someone else shows up with their dog who hasn't jumped, let them go ahead of you. Do not assume all dogs are friendly and don't let your dog greet unless the other handler is okay with it. |
